Protection is the most important consideration when it comes
data storage management. Drives will
fail and accidents will happen. You need a combination of safe storage,
reliable backup, and off-site protection;
it’s imperative for both personal use and IT storage. With Drobo, you don’t
have to be an expert in Network Data Storage or Data Storage Management. Drobo’s
BeyondRAID technology continuously scrubs data in the background to fix errors
before a drive failure occurs, and it will purge any drive with too many
errors. For outages and power conditioning, you need to ensure your storage is
connected to an uninterruptible power supply (UPS). Drobos also come with an
internal battery-backed cache to keep data safe. Nothing can protect against
disaster at your home or office, and you need off-site backup as well. Drobo
offers both hypervisor and cloud storage solutions from several well-known
vendors. For more information on how Drobo keeps data safe, read our full blog here.
